This was our 7th new home build and I can honestly say that this was the least stressful and most satisfying build of all. At first, we were extremely nervous about building a new house in a different country so far away from us. Once the construction started, we knew that we had chosen the right builder. We were updated every week with photos and all the original trade invoices to show us exactly what had been completed that week. After our first few visits back down to personally see the progress of construction when Martin and Juan would call to ask us what we wanted for this and that we would just tell them to do whatever they thought would look best or be best. The day we went down to take position of the house we could not believe how spectacular the house looked. It was like walking into a fully staged show home except even better. They had every detail looked after. Furniture, bedding, art and all the accessories including the beer and tequila in the fridge. If you’re looking to build in the Cabo area, I wouldn’t even consider anyone other than Marcor Masters.

As soon as we met with Martin and Juan, we knew that they were the ones to build our new home in Rancho Paraiso Estates in CSL. We moved into our home 7 months ago. We’re living here full time and couldn’t be happier. Marcor Masters exceeded our expectations. Martin’s design abilities both inside and out cannot be matched. He made furnishing our home an exciting and easy process. Receiving weekly financial reports along with pictures was an added bonus. When we decided to build a home on our lot in PLC Fundadores we met and interviewed at least seven builders. After careful analysis and communications with references we decided on MarcorMasters. We told them what our priorities and taste are in the house and Martin worked with his architect to design the home. We only needed to make some minor adjustments to the plans since it reflected what we had communicated, a clean and contemporary design. As we live in the US we were only able to occasionally come down during the construction. I can only say positive things about the experience building with them. Martin and Juan are very patient and knowledgeable. We got weekly updates with pictures and detailed expense reports. The most positive point in our view was that Martin and Juan just knew what to do and what is right. Not just layout and size of rooms, but also finishes from stone to kitchen cabinets and appliances to bathroom fixtures to lighting fixtures to stereo and movie equipment. The cost of the home was less than we could have gotten from anybody else in Cabo, based on conversations over the last 1.5 years with other homeowners who built in PLC. Having now lived in the house for 1.5 years, we are very happy with the construction. No issues, we can’t think of anything we would have wanted differently, all the finishes are very nice. We have no issues with leaks or any other defects often experienced in new constructions. We have built and modernized several homes in the US, and had a better experience with MarcorMasters down here in Mexico. Bottom line is that we would build with them again and highly recommend them. We also use them as our property manager for the 1.5 years since the construction was finished and are very happy.

When we decided to build, we engaged three architectural/building firms to design our home. MarCor presented us with the best design giving us exactly what we wanted. It put the entire main living area on one floor from the garage entry to the spacious pool. The kitchen- living- dining areas, master suite and huge outdoor space plus the pool are all on the main entry floor without a single step. Our guest suites, media room, gym, and wine cellar are on the lower level. This gives our guests plenty of space and their own privacy. It’s common knowledge MarCor homes are always unique, imaginative, and beautiful so that’s what we expected and that’s what was delivered. We were also impressed with the fact we could just move into our new home and every detail was ready; TV’s and internet working, music playing, ice in the ice maker, the beds were made and even a bottle of MarCor Masters’ tequila was there for us. We’re pragmatic so we wanted more than a fancy house in Cabo; we wanted the damn thing to work and work properly. We’ve lived in Cabo many years so we know what’s important in a house. The Insulated Concrete Panel Construction was a must. The insulation value and strength are critical in maintaining a comfortable interior with structural integrity. We were in Cabo for Odile and saw how the MarCor Master panel homes stood up so well. Electrical bills can be very high in Cabo so we installed solar panels to offset these costs and to run our pool and fountains all day long. Marcor helped us choose the most efficient, quiet air conditioners to maximize comfort at the lowest operating cost. Another must for our new house was the use of Sentry impact resistant glass in the aluminum windows and doors providing maximum protection against storms and hurricanes. What stands out in our home is not just all the energy efficient components but also the creative elements from the custom furniture pieces to the unique light fixtures and the amazing artwork. We love it. It’s our palace. It goes without saying, we highly recommend MarCor Masters as a custom home builder. They listened to what we wanted then designed, built, and furnished a stunningly beautiful home that performs and functions properly. MarCor Masters are builders who understand Cabo, the climate and the lifestyle, and build accordingly.

We contracted with MarCor Masters last summer to have additional construction done on our Villa which had been completed by Querencia in 2004. I have known Martin for about 10 years and had seen the work that he performed on the homes of friends and was impressed by the quality and their satisfaction. We started the discussion by requesting that our wood windows and sliders be replaced with modern aluminum/hurricane glass units. After further discussions, we decided to do this, as well as build a 500 sq. ft. veranda off of the living room and a 330 sq. ft. covering over the outdoor dining area (with new floors in both areas). Additional work was done replacing termite attracting wood around the home with faux wood (textured concrete) and redoing the deteriorating trim on the hot tub and pool. All in all, a lot of changes with many opportunities for problems and customer unhappiness. But Martin and Juan and the team came though and we could not be more pleased. We loved our home before and the improvements made by MarCor have greatly increased its functionality and beauty.

A year ago while staying at a vacation rental, we watched two homes being built across the street. The construction was interesting as it utilized a combination of some sort of insulated material like dense foam and concrete. In the evenings, we would walk through the two homes and I started doing a little research on the builder and the building technique. I found that the builder, MarCor Masters, had built homes of this construction method in the Cabo area for years. I met one of the MarCor Master’s owners, Martin Siegen, and found that of the two homes being built, one was for him and the other for a friend. Martin spent time describing the construction in more detail as well as sharing pictures of his portfolio for the completed homes. As it turned out his friend was willing to sell and we are now the proud owners of a MarCor Master’s home – and Martin and Cindy’s next door neighbors. Because of the trust and confidence we had developed in both Martin and his partner, Juan Corral, we accepted almost all their recommendations and within the year we moved into our beautiful new home in Puerto Los Cabos. During construction, we received photos and progress reports every week right up to our closing date. Upon possession, MarCor became our property manager and they have been very attentive to our property and completing additional projects for us. Any work that we have requested has been completed timely and with the same level of quality. And as during the building process, we receive weekly reports, photos, and detailed billings. We can attest that MarCor is not only a quality builder but also a quality property manager. It can be very scary building a home in a foreign country but it’s now been over a year since the completion of our Cabo home and we are as thrilled as ever with our decision to build. The key was finding a builder we could trust. We made our decision to go with MarCor Masters after touring several of the homes they’ve built and discussing their building methods, as well as, their methods of invoicing. For us, it was also a big plus that Martin lived only three doors down from where we were going to be building. We really enjoyed watching the progress on our home. We looked forward to getting the weekly pictures and progress reports. These weekly updates and the emails made the process easy and made us feel at ease knowing we were getting what we were paying for. We are very pleased with the overall quality and craftsmanship and in many ways it exceeded our expectations. Regardless where you build a home, or who builds it, there will always be little things that will require attention or fixing. The few things we had that needed attention were remedied and resolved quickly. MarCor’s support after the sale has been excellent and has been only a phone call away. MarCor Masters, Martin and Juan, completed our yearlong renovation of Casa Friends in Costa Azul in September 2014. Hurricane Odile devastated the renovation September 15, 2014 and without hesitation and under the most difficult of conditions Martin and Juan were there to start again! It is important to note that our beachfront home is jointly owned by two families, one from the US and one from Canada. Understanding and balancing our needs and wishes from afar was a skill that MarCor Masters managed with ease and finesse. Their weekly system of invoicing, updates and photos is well established and brought much comfort by always keeping us abreast of the progress on our home. Their awesome team delivered quality workmanship, with fine attention to even the smallest detail. The project included adding rooms, an upper deck, replacing all floors, windows, kitchen, bathrooms, pool and spa, as well as installing a solar energy system and exterior landscape. This was an enormous undertaking that evolved as time went on. They provided a friendly and professional response to all requests for alterations and changes. We first became aware of MarCor Masters through our real estate agent who just happened to be Martin’s wife Cindy. We believe this to be a most fortuitous moment because after meeting Martin and seeing some of his completed and semi completed homes, we had an almost immediate sense of comfort and confidence. Martin and Juan, I wanted to drop you a short note to let you know how pleased Julie and I are with the work you did for us after hurricane Odile wreaked havoc on our home in Querencia. As you know, it was a very frightening time, but MarCor did a terrific job of putting us at ease. Having said that, there is a wide chasm between making someone feel at ease and getting the work done in a timely and quality manner. You were fabulous in terms of getting right on the job and not only was the quality impeccable, you were able to offer up significant ideas as to how we might do things better so that we avoid similar damage again in the future. We followed your advice and in each case, you were right on the mark. The house now looks fabulous and we now also know that it is a much safer and secure house than it was before. (Note: MarCor Masters was not the original builder.) Another thing I applaud you for, is how fair and straight forward you were in terms of the cost of your services. I know that there was quite a bit of gouging going as a result of the damage, but you never took advantage of the situation. That says a lot about your integrity. So, bottom line, your team did great work, completed all of the work as expediently as possible and your pricing was fair. Can’t ask for more than that, and consequently, you should feel free to use me as a reference any time that you would like. My wife Connie and I enthusiastically recommend Martin Siegen, Juan Coral and the Marcor Masters team for any residential construction project. We bought a house 10 years ago in Rancho Cerro Colorado and it needed a lot of work. A couple of years ago, Martin, Juan and their team undertook a major renovation of our entire house, which transformed it from a nice but outdated house into a beautiful, stunning home. It is difficult to accurately describe the depth and breadth of the work, but the following is a brief summary: (1) Every room in the house was updated and modernized (2) The kitchen was completely redone and transformed from a dark, outdated one to a bright, open, comfortable and up to date one (3) All new furniture was ordered and installed at fantastic prices (4) Marble floors were installed throughout the house (5) All areas of the house were brightened and “opened up” (6) A new bathroom and office were added (7) All rooms repainted and redecorated (8) Cooling systems relocated (9) Laundry room area which was partially outside, was moved to inside the house and updated (10) The area outside under our palapa was substantially rebuilt and resulting in a fantastic outdoor living area (11) Our pool was completely redone and updated (12) A new pila was added to substantially increase our water capacity The dedication of the Marcor Masters team was outstanding. Their workmanship, attention to detail, and focus on quality is unique. Throughout all of their work, I received detailed breakdowns of all the expenses as they were incurred and the final price was much better than expected. In summary we could not have had a better experience. The results far exceeded our expectations.

We built our home in the Fundadores neighborhood of Puerto Los Cabos eight years ago and over the last several years we have been dealing with multiple roof leaks and we finally decided it was time to replace the roof. After several inquiries with neighbors, Martin and Juan’s name came up repeatedly as a highly recommended contractor for many reasons. We found Martin and Juan to be extremely knowledgeable, timely and thorough. They were true professionals in determining our needs by understanding and executing the architectural remedy of pitch, design and materials required to finally provide us a 100% leak proof roof. The quality of the materials and craftsmanship was far superior to the original roof. Martin suggested a few additional design and construction features at no extra cost as they worked through the project. They also cleaned up the job site, repainted areas of the house that required work, replaced plants in the garden that may have suffered some construction damage, etc. After Hurricane Odile not only did we have totally intact roof tiles but we did not even have one single roof leak in our entire house!! We would highly recommend Martin and Juan of MarCor Masters.

My wife Cindy and I have been coming to Los Cabo’s since the early 90’s and enjoyed renting hotel rooms and then homes for many years. We thought Los Cabo’s was our end game for owning a home in Mexico. Then we got introduced to Puerto Los Cabos, by of all people, our son. We bought our first house in El Altillo but because of life’s glitches we sold that home and thought we would start vacationing in other places. In 1999, my wife and I took our first trip to Cabo. As many do, we had a timeshare …. where we would spend 1-2 weeks a year. We so enjoyed Cabo that we purchased a home at Querencia. Later on I met Martin Siegen. Not only was he a good golfer but he was a wealth of knowledge on how real estate and building is down here. ….. we purchased Lot #20 in El Altillo. Initially, we didn’t think we would build but with the economy in the US being weak we decided to build a spec house. The first person I talked to was Martin. Even though I have used other builders in the past for projects at our Querencia home, the people I got to know since 2009 said “MarCor Masters” are the best. Martin and I agreed that he would build a home like no other here and would build it at a price we could live with. We agreed on a budget and we started to move earth in early 2012. We bought a half-finished house and went through the bidding process to finish it. Martin and Juan appealed to us for a number of reasons – their experience, their budget, their sense of style and their obvious competence. Martin and Juan are both very good at what they do. We are happy to have selected them. The house, unbeknownst to us, had a lot of problems which Martin and Juan identified and fixed. They added and took out things using their judgment, expertise, experience and plain common-sense. It’s hard building a house from far away, but they kept us updated with weekly reports and pictures. They made the house much better from the original. The decisions they made really added to the overall functionality and the style of the house. We love our classic, elegant home. Martin is also amazing at picking furniture and accessories. There is absolutely no way that the house would have looked as good had we tried to do it ourselves. I highly recommend

Martin and Juan have just completed a re-model on our “casa” which included changing the mini-split air conditioning to central w/individual room controls. Brilliant! Not only did this get the unsightly mini-splits off the walls but it created beautiful dropped molding around the ceilings in the living room and dining room which housed the necessary venting. We also changed the wall that housed the entertainment center to an up-date the look, added a fireplace for those cool Dec/Jan. evenings and removed the saltillo clay tile floor for gorgeous brushed “crema marfil marble from Spain”. It changed the entire character of the home in a beautiful way. Martin made our ideas come to reality. They had transformed the exterior of our home 2 years ago in an equally dramatic way, changing the front entrance from a little hacienda with typical fountain to a grand entrance reminiscent of a mini Querencia entrance. 4 1/2 tonnes of canterra was applied to trim the windows and doorways while re-tiling the pool deck and re-positioning the built-in barbecue. My husband and I are delighted with the superior workmanship and accountability.
